We would like to sincerely thank all the members of our Health Ministry Team for the work that they are doing. The mission of the Health Ministry Cabinet is to provide assistance in advising and leading the Health Ministry Team. The goal is to provide guidance and support in carrying out Christ’s Ministry of promoting wellness of body, mind and spirit and to serve those experiencing challenges.
The Health Ministry at Our Savior traditionally began in the 1970’s as the Angel Ministry. The Health Ministry Team includes those who visit the sick and homebound, bring meals to those who are ill or in need, provide transportation for the elderly and disabled to medical appointments and church, do food shopping for those who are unable and are a friend to those who are lonely. They send Hope Cards showing caring and concern in times of illness. They comfort the grieving and give help and healing love to all in need.

Healing Service:
“Our Lord Jesus healed many as a sign of the reign of God come near and sent the disciples to continue this work of healing–with prayer, the laying on of hands and anointing. In the name of Christ, the great healer and reconciler of the world, we now entrust to God all who are in need of healing.” (ELWp.276) Our Savior offers healing focused worship mid October and during Lent. We also bring Healing Services to those who are ill at home, in the hospital or nursing facility.
